Job summary

About The Role

Responsible for supporting the Chief Credit Officer in the administration, governance, oversight, and continuous improvement of the Bank credit function. The Credit Administrator serves as the principal coordinator for portfolio administration, quality control, risk reporting, examination readiness, and credit governance activities. This role maintains a portfolio-wide view of credit quality and ensures risks are identified, monitored, reported, escalated, and resolved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CCO PARTNERSHIP & CREDIT GOVERNANCE
  • Serve as the CCO primary partner on governance, policy development, committee preparation, delegated approvals, and special projects.
  • Support implementation of management decisions and department priorities.
  • Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and controls.
PORTFOLIO OVERSIGHT, QUALITY CONTROL & REPORTING
  • Coordinate annual reviews, problem loan reports, construction reporting, covenant monitoring, criticized asset reporting, and other credit administration deliverables.
  • Analyze trends and emerging risks across the portfolio.
  • Validate accuracy and timeliness of reporting and quality control processes.
EXAMINATIONS, AUDITS & LOAN REVIEW COORDINATION
  • Coordinate FDIC, audit, compliance, and external review activities.
  • Track findings and corrective action plans to completion.
ISSUE MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
  • Monitor findings, exceptions, overdue items, and process gaps.
  • Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, controls, reporting, and credit quality.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RISK COORDINATION & COACHING
  • Work with lending, operations, appraisal, compliance, special assets, and credit teams to improve consistency and handoffs.
  • Provide portfolio-level feedback and coaching based on trends and review findings.

  • Participate in required training, staff meetings, and lobby displays.

About You
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, and/or credit administration, with demonstrated ability to evaluate complex borrowers and structures.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field is required.
  • Prior experience in nCino preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY
  • Demonstrated ability to influence underwriting standards across a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable providing feedback to management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); strong Excel capability required for financial analysis, reporting, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
  • Must be able to deal calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures and various levels within and outside of the bank and demonstrate highest levels of customer service discretion when dealing with public.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
