Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of insurance and credentialing regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end insurance credentialing for dental practitioners in a timely, compliant manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date licenses, certifications, and insurance documents in the provider database.
  • Review and verify completeness and accuracy of credentialing applications.
  • Serve as primary contact with insurers and payers to resolve credentialing issues.
  • Submit credentialing applications promptly and monitor their status.
  • Collaborate with dental teams to collect required documentation.
  • Stay current on industry regulations and best practices in credentialing.
  • Provide training and support to junior credentialing specialists.
  • Contribute to process improvements in credentialing operations.

Credentialing Specialist

Location: Lindon, Utah (In-office only — no remote work available)
Pay Range: $18–$20/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time or part-time available | Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM

We are a fast-growing Dental Support Organization (DSO) seeking a highly motivated Credentialing Specialist to join our credentialing team. This role plays a vital part in supporting our dental practitioners by ensuring all providers are properly credentialed with insurance payers in a timely and compliant manner.

Job Description

As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our provider credentialing database, overseeing application submissions, and ensuring all credentialing tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. You’ll be the bridge between our providers and payor plans, helping to facilitate clear and timely communication. This position also involves optimizing and automating credentialing workflows for increased operational efficiency.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus):
  • Previous experience with dental-specific credentialing.
  • Background in a Dental Service Organization (DSO).
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software (especially Open Dental).
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of insurance and credentialing regulations.
