Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking Credentialing Specialists to support a large federal identity credentialing program. The Credentialing Specialist will perform credential enrollment, issuance, activation, inventory management, and customer support activities while ensuring compliance with established credentialing policies and security procedures. This position supports secure identity management operations at federal facilities nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day credentialing operations at assigned federal facilities.
  • Assist with enrollment, issuance, activation, and maintenance of identification credentials.
  • Manage daily appointments using the credentialing scheduling system.
  • Issue and activate SmartID and access credentials.
  • Perform certificate rekey, PIN reset, credential updates, and other credential lifecycle activities.
  • Maintain credential inventory and accountability using credential inventory management tools.
  • Secure credentials in accordance with established security requirements.
  • Contact employees and contractors to coordinate credential issuance and activation appointments.
  • Collect expired or terminated credentials and ensure proper disposition.
  • Maintain accurate records of credential issuance, collection, and inventory activities.
  • Perform Registrar, Activator, and Card Custodian responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support shipment of credentialing materials and Light Activation Kits when required.
  • Respond to applicant questions regarding credential status and issuance.
  • Provide administrative support, documentation management, scheduling, and operational support.
  • Ensure compliance with credentialing policies, security procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform additional identity management and credentialing duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Four (4) years of directly related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Experience providing administrative or operational support in a professional environment.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting HSPD-12 or Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentialing programs.
  • Knowledge of FIPS 201, PKI, FICAM, or federal identity management processes.
  • Experience using credentialing systems such as USAccess or similar identity management systems.
  • Experience operating credentialing equipment, including Fixed Credentialing Units, Mobile Credentialing Units, Light Activation Kits, credential printers, scanners, laptops, and related hardware.
  • Previous experience supporting federal government credentialing or security operations.
Clearance Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required federal background investigation and credentialing requirements for this program, including:

  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • Ability to satisfy federal background investigation requirements.
  • Demonstrated federal tax compliance.
