Job summary

Independence Physician Management (IPM) is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to manage government and commercial payer credentialing for physicians across IPM locations. You will ensure timely enrollment and active status, while handling data entry and reporting tasks.

The role requires strong knowledge of credentialing practices, attention to detail, and effective communication with payers and internal teams. This on-site position supports IPM's physician networks and healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of credentialing experience in a managed care environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of managed care and credentialing processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, physicians and payers.

Responsibilities

• Submits and follows up on credentialing with commercial payors and government agencies.
• Supports other IPM locations with credentialing as needed.
• Maintains tracking of time and reports weekly.
• Enters and maintains data in the credentialing database per rules.
• Reports demographic changes to managed care companies and government agencies.
• Performs database queries and reports as needed.
• Maintains contract files and credentialing databases.
