Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group in Baxter, MN seeks a licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join a collaborative 3-doctor team. Full-time or part-time position with balanced schedule and opportunities for leadership growth.

Open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with potential for after-hours on-call optional earning. LVTs participate in advanced technical tasks and patient care within a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Minnesota or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Ability to assist in surgery and anesthesia under supervision.
• Strong patient care, team communication, and mentorship potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgery and anesthesia management as part of a 3-doctor team.
• Provide high-quality patient care and client communication.
• Support and mentor junior staff and potentially move into Lead Technician role.

Get Hands-On with Surgery & Anesthesia
Our LVTs are an integral part of our surgical team, including inducing anesthesia, intubating patients, monitoring procedures, and managing dedicated technician appointments. Your skills matter here!

Real Work-Life Balance
Our hospital is open Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with no regular evening, weekend, or holiday shifts. Full-time technicians work either four or five days per week and receive a full one-hour lunch break every shift.

Optional Extra Earning Opportunities
Want to pick up additional income? LVTs can participate in our after-hours emergency on-call program from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM on weekends. On-call team members receive an on-call stipend PLUS a minimum of two hours of time-and-a-half pay whenever called into the hospital.
