Job summary

Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, OK is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our compassionate veterinary team. This full-time role requires AM shift availability for surgeries and a drive to provide high-quality patient care for our diverse animal patients and to support their owners.

Ideal candidates have Oklahoma RVT credentials (or eligible for transfer within 3 months), 3+ years of clinical experience, and strong skills in animal handling, anesthesia monitoring,

Qualifications

• Licensed RVT in Oklahoma or eligible for transfer within 3 months.
• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dental experience: scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
• Phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, casts, bandages.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation and post-operative care.
• Medical math and drug calculations.
• Laboratory skills including cytology setup and interpretation.
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided procedures.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma!

Location: 3800 E 2nd St, Edmond, OK 73034

Salary: competitive and dependent on experience

Schedule: Variable; must be willing to work AM shifts for surgeries

Who You Are:

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oklahoma , or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire


• 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant


• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment


• Passion for working with animals and their owners


• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint


• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare


• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills


• Dental Experience; scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs


• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints


• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care


• Confident with medical math and drug calculations


• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation


• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis


• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
