Job summary
Sabino Veterinary Care in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited practice. You will provide comprehensive patient care, assist in anesthesia, and perform lab work while mentoring teammates and engaging with clients to explain treatments.
We offer a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment with access to internal specialty consultations. A California state license is not required; active AZ license is preferred along with AVMA-accredited training.
Qualifications
- AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program required.
- Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology and laboratory procedures.
- Calm and efficient under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork.
- One year of veterinary industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Lead and mentor the medical team to maintain efficient workflow.
- Partner with clients, educate on treatments, review medical records and answer questions.
- Contribute to a positive hospital culture through training and feedback.
