Job summary

Mission Pet Health's Ankeny Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative team in Ankeny, IA. The role focuses on comprehensive patient care, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic support within a modern facility.

You will mentor teammates, assist with surgical and dental procedures, and educate clients while contributing to a culture of high-quality animal care and family-like patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
• A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
• One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
• Lead and mentor the medical team to ensure efficient workflow and support skill development.
• Educate pet owners on treatments and review medical records, answering questions confidently.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture through training and feedback.
