Qualifications

• CVT certification or licensure required.
• Graduation from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of veterinary or technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets; assist with check-in/out and scheduling.
• Take basic vital signs, weight, and medical history on patients.
• Properly restrain pets during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the DVM.
• Observe animal health conditions and report to the DVM; assist in emergencies.
• Keep accurate records and medical notes; educate owners on medications and care.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and radiographs; dental prophylaxis with accuracy.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with procedures as needed.
