Job summary

Taylor's University Sdn Bhd is seeking a lecturer to undertake teaching and learning duties in the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. You will design and develop teaching materials, deliver classes and assessments, and engage with students to support high standards of learning.

The role also involves contributing to administrative tasks, committee work, and curriculum development to advance the department’s goals within the university.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Creative Writing, English, Literature, Theatre, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related teaching or professional experience may be considered in exceptional cases.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching creative writing at a tertiary level.
• Professional writing experience in fiction, poetry, screenwriting, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Undertake teaching duties including designing, preparing and developing teaching materials.
• Conduct classes, tutorials and assessments; engage with students and perform invigilation and marking.
• Maintain high standards of teaching and learning to meet university expectations.
• Undertake administrative responsibilities, attend departmental meetings and participate in committees.
