Job summary

Element Brooklyn LLC is seeking a Social Media Intern to join a growing marketing team with a Bushwick HQ and a Gallery of Scent popup in Manhattan. You’ll craft short-form videos from idea to posting for TikTok, Instagram and more, testing hooks and formats beyond typical beauty marketing.

You’ll collaborate on bigger shoots, use CapCut and AI tools to accelerate production, and grow into more responsibility as your skills develop. NYC-based with some remote work possible.

Qualifications

• Already make short-form videos and know your way around TikTok, Instagram and an editor such as CapCut
• Are scrappy and resourceful and can figure out how to get a good idea filmed without a big budget or instructions for every step
• Understand internet culture and have an instinct for what makes a video funny, interesting or worth sharing
• Are comfortable both behind the camera and occasionally in front of it, and enjoy trying new tools and techniques
• Are based in NYC: some of the work can be done remotely, but many shoots happen in person at our Bushwick HQ and the Gallery of Scent in Manhattan

Responsibilities

• Develop your own ideas and bring team concepts to life, handling filming, editing and posting on TikTok, Instagram and other channels
• Spot relevant trends, sounds and cultural moments, and turn them into content quickly
• Pitch and test new hooks, formats and recurring series, including ideas that don’t look like typical beauty or home-care marketing
• Use video-editing and AI tools to speed up production, try new creative approaches and make the finished work better
• Work with the team on larger, more heavily produced shoots, campaigns and launches
• Attend our weekly Ad Creative Strategy meeting to brainstorm new video concepts with the team
