Job summary

CatFace, a YouTube entertainment brand, seeks a contracted Shortform & Ad Scriptwriter to support its Marketing team. You’ll craft scripts for ads and shorts across Aphmau, Shuki, and Stories, researching trends and keeping a playful voice for kids and young adults.

Collaborate with Production and Editing, deliver clearly formatted scripts with metadata, and adapt to feedback. Three years’ writing experience and a strong portfolio are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as scriptwriter or in a similar role with a strong portfolio.
• Proven experience writing for young adult or children's media.
• Ability to write dialogue, edit, and proofread with strong tone and pacing.
• Familiarity with Minecraft lore and gaming culture is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to feedback from multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Research trends and apply analytics to craft engaging scripts.
• Prepare script materials including outlines and references.
• Write original scripts aligned with CatFace's brand and tone.
• Develop short-form content inspired by youth internet culture.
• Participate in feedback rounds and revise scripts accordingly.
• Provide clearly formatted scripts with metadata for production.
• Collaborate with production and editing to ensure smooth hand-off.
• Assist with transcription or documentation as needed.
