Cella in Austin, TX is seeking a Creative Production Manager for an 18-month W2 hourly contract to oversee print and integrated digital media production. You will work with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Job Type: 18-month W2 hourly contract (extension/conversion based on performance)

Compensation Range: $35-42/hr

The Creative Production Manager oversees the end-to-end production management cycle, focusing heavily on printed media while integrating seamlessly across digital channels. In this role, you will collaborate with internal business partners, creative teams, and external vendors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Production Management: Oversee all stages of print and integrated digital media production, from initial concept through final delivery.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal business teams, creative staff, studio production teams, and external vendors to execute project goals.
• Specification & Procurement: Write technical production specifications, estimate production timelines, calculate unit costs, and manage purchase orders or change requests using procurement systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Ariba).
• File Preparation & Quality Assurance: Review, revise, and generate native files across Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint, ensuring proper file construction and using tools like Adobe PDF Preview.
• Vendor & Third-Party Oversight: Manage third-party vendor relationships to enforce quality standards, negotiate project scope, and ensure alignment with direct mail and postal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2 to 5+ years of experience managing print production within an agency or in-house creative design team.
• Software & Systems: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and creative workflow platforms (e.g., Workfront, Basecamp).
• Technical Printing Knowledge: Expertise in paper stocks, weights, coatings, ink configurations, and structural file preparation; working knowledge of Direct Mail best practices and postal guidelines is strongly preferred.
• Financial & Administrative Skills: Familiarity with corporate procurement platforms (PeopleSoft, Ariba) and basic cost estimation.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong multi-tasking capability, clear written/verbal communication, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
