Job summary

Nova Sky Stories is seeking a highly organized Project Manager - Design to help bring original ideas to life within our Utrecht studio. You will partner with the creative team to guide projects from ideation through execution, ensuring momentum and timely delivery across locations.

You’ll embed in the creative process, coordinate across internal teams and external partners, and keep the pipeline moving while the team focuses on storytelling, design, and execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a creative production, project management, or producer role within animation, film, games, live entertainment, or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of creative pipelines from concept to delivery and how to support each phase.
• Experience working with creative teams and supporting the creative process.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience coordinating with external partners or vendors.
• Excellent communication skills in navigating feedback and aligning perspectives.
• Ability to operate independently with structure and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Guide creative projects from early concept through execution, moving ideas from exploration to clear direction.
• Build and manage timelines across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring milestones stay on track.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks before impact.
• Coordinate across internal teams (design, animation, production) and external partners to bring projects to life.
• Act as the connective tissue between teams, ensuring clear communication and visibility across locations.
• Capture and communicate decisions, feedback, action items, and next steps to maintain momentum.
• Anticipate needs of the creative pipeline and ensure readiness for upcoming deliverables.
• Remove friction from the process so the creative leads can focus on storytelling and execution.
