TEGNA's KCEN KAGS-TV in Temple seeks an innovative Producer to shape daily newscasts, prioritizing original storytelling and investigative journalism across streaming and broadcast platforms.

You will pitch stories, craft multi‑platform packages, meet deadlines, and use data analytics to refine content, with a collaborative newsroom and opportunities in a large local media company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 1-3 years of news content experience.
• Top‑notch communication skills are an absolute must.
• Solid journalistic judgment and a news philosophy that emphasizes accurate, fair and unique local content.
• Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
• Skills in producing engaging, content‑driven newscasts and digital content.
• Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on your preferred social platforms.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under time‑pressure deadlines.
• Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
• ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.

KCEN KAGS-TV, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Temple is seeking an innovative Producer to shape our daily newscasts.
