École Française de Boston (EFB) is a bilingual school serving children from Toddler through 5th Grade across three campuses in Cambridge and Watertown, MA. We seek an English-speaking Music Teacher to introduce students to music through singing, rhythm, movement, listening, and instruments, designing engaging lessons for preschool and elementary levels.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional training in music, music education, education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching music to children preferred.
• Experience with preschool/elementary-aged children.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• English proficiency; French welcome but not required.
• Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate music lessons.
• Introduce musical concepts through singing, rhythm, movement, listening activities, and instruments.
• Develop students' musical skills while encouraging creativity, participation, and self-expression.
• Establish clear learning objectives and adapt instruction to students' ages, abilities, and needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Differentiate activities to ensure all students participate and progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, campus directors, and other EFB team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary and school-wide projects when appropriate.
• Contribute to performances and other school events involving music.
• Communicate with families regarding students' learning and participation.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
