Job description

This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. The Creative Media Coordinator supports the ministry of Sky Ranch by serving as a member of the Brand team and is responsible for the production of graphic and online content for the various ministries and programs of Sky Ranch Christian Camps – from the creative planning stages through final project completion. This role creates visual content that supports Sky Ranch marketing, programming, and organization-wide initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create compelling visual content that supports Sky Ranch marketing and organization-wide initiatives.
• Develop creative concepts and designs for print and digital materials, including marketing campaigns, brochures, signage, banners, retail merchandise, social media, email, web, and promotional materials.
• Help develop and execute the visual direction for annual summer themes, special events, campaigns, and other key initiatives.
• Maintain consistency with Sky Ranch brand standards across all creative materials to ensure a cohesive visual identity.
• Collaborate with all departments across the organization to understand project goals and translate ideas into effective visual solutions.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and maintain high quality and attention to detail.
• Prepare and deliver production-ready files for print, digital, signage, merchandise, and other applications, coordinating with printers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate production and execution.
• Maintain organized design files, templates, brand assets, and other creative resources.
• Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices while creating work that remains consistent with the Sky Ranch brand.
• Capture marketing photography as needed to support campaigns, events, and other creative initiatives.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the overall success of the Brand Department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Brand Integrity Manager, Director of Marketing and Communications, and VP of Sales & Marketing.
• Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional training and experience.
• 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in an in-house, agency, or similarly fast-paced creative environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative concept development, brand execution, and a range of print and digital design work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Experience designing for a variety of applications, including print, digital, signage, merchandise, and large-format materials.
• Knowledge of print and digital production processes, specifications, and best practices.
• Ability to develop creative concepts and carry projects from initial idea through final production.
• Photography skills and experience are preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Physical effort required on a routine basis; ability to use up to 20 pounds of force frequently for moving and carrying objects, including photography and video equipment.
• Requires some physical agility, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Works indoors in normal office environment majority of the time during the retreat season.
• Works indoors and outdoors during the summer camp season, in a noisy and busy environment, exposed to the seasonal weather elements.
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• Ability to travel to various geographic locations, including by car, and some overnight stays including weekends.
