Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, through JCC Harlem, seeks a Jewish Life + Community Engagement Lead to design vibrant, inclusive programs that foster belonging and participation across the Harlem community. The role splits 50/50 between Jewish Life and Civic Life, partnering with administration and community partners to build connections.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in community programming, strong relationship-building skills, and deep knowledge of Jewish life and diverse communities.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in community programming or related fields.
• Experience designing, producing, and leading participatory programs.
• Strong community-building orientation and relational leadership.
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and communal life.
• Experience with diverse, multiracial, interfaith communities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with CRM systems like Daxko or Salesforce is desirable.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Mansioni

• Plan and execute robust Jewish Life programming (Shabbat gatherings, holidays, arts/ritual experiences, and learning for children and families).
• Design welcoming experiences centering belonging and authentic community voice.
• Build relationships with community members and guide pathways into Jewish life and engagement.
• Ensure programming reflects Harlem's diverse Jewish community.
• Develop partnerships to strengthen the Jewish Life platform.
• Coordinate with Children's Enrichment to weave Jewish content across programs.
• Create curricula and program frameworks; teach select children's experiential education.
• Plan and manage large-scale high-holiday programs and services.
• Oversee logistics, staffing, run-of-show planning, vendor coordination, and budgets.
• Develop recruitment strategies to meet participation goals and set calendars and targets.
• Manage program area budget and supervise Jewish Life staff.
• Support cross-departmental arts, culture, and community programs and advisory council work.
