Elegant & Chic LLC in New York, NY is seeking a Hairstylist/Cosmetologist to deliver high-quality beauty services to a diverse client base. You will cut, color, and style, including extensions and makeup, while ensuring excellent customer care and upselling opportunities.

Join a vibrant, in-person team with flexible scheduling. You’ll work with MINDBODY for appointments, maintain sanitation, and mentor junior staff as the salon grows.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license required.
• Experience in beauty industry with styling, coloring and cutting.
• Familiarity with MINDBODY scheduling and client management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safe salon practices.
• Ability to perform extensions, nail care, makeup and retail sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert hair styling, cutting, coloring, and finishing services tailored to client preferences.
• Perform extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care and makeup to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain sanitation standards and clean tools, stations and work areas per health rules.
• Use MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records and daily operations.
• Engage clients with service options and upsell retail products.
• Greet clients at front desk, answer inquiries and ensure smooth salon flow.
• Mentor junior team members on techniques and store practices.
