Job summary

Garmin seeks a full-time Creative Front End Developer for the U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will translate designs into responsive, accessible web experiences across web, mobile, and application platforms, collaborating with creative, UX, and development teams. You will learn Garmin's systems and standards, build responsive components, run tests for accessibility and quality, and contribute to code quality and documentation while supporting a strong user experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Design, Graphic Design, CS, HCI, Web Development or related field and 2+ years web development experience.
• Proficient in CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript; experience with cross-browser compatibility and WCAG.
• Familiarity with Git repositories, VSC/Sublime, and modern JS frameworks (Vue/React).
• Experience with accessibility best practices and command-line interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Executes designs provided by UX/UI and Creative teams.
• Builds responsive pages and components.
• Learn Garmin's systems and standards.
• Performs testing and QA on accessible code.
• Receives guidance from senior developers.
