Job description

Tomorrow is partnering with a full-service creative agency that creates ambitious, design-led experiences for leading global brands. Bringing together creative, strategy, production and technology, the agency delivers work across live experiences, environments, installations and culturally relevant brand moments.

They are looking for a Creative Director to lead their largest and most complex live experiences from initial concept through to onsite delivery. Reporting to the Group Creative Director, this role will establish and protect a singular creative vision across conferences, festivals and tentpole brand experiences, bringing together stages, programming, activations, content, technology, hospitality and the wider audience journey.

The role calls for a multidisciplinary creative leader who can think at venue and audience scale, rally large interdisciplinary teams and balance creative ambition with the technical, operational and production realities of delivering work for thousands of attendees.

What You'll Do
  • Own the creative direction of large-scale conferences, festivals and tentpole brand experiences from initial concept through to onsite delivery.
  • Establish a cohesive creative vision across stages, activations, environments, content, technology, programming and guest experience.
  • Think holistically about how audiences arrive, navigate, gather, participate and move through venue-scale experiences.
  • Balance major hero moments with the wider audience journey, ensuring the creative idea remains present across every touchpoint.
  • Lead creative decision-making across complex programmes involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Develop concepts, designs and prototypes alongside the team when projects require a hands‑on creative approach.
  • Partner closely with Production, Technical, Show and Operations teams to translate ambitious ideas into executable solutions.
  • Protect the integrity of the creative vision while navigating budgets, schedules, venue limitations and technical requirements.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback throughout the creative process, from early concept development through to final execution.
  • Ensure all creative output is visually compelling, strategically aligned and delivered to an exceptional standard.
  • Identify and bring together the right generalists and specialists across strategy, creative technology, spatial, 2D and content.
  • Lead senior client presentations, clearly communicating and building support for creative recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted and diplomatic creative partner, confidently navigating feedback, competing perspectives and complex group dynamics.
  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing creative team, supporting individual development and encouraging collaboration and experimentation.
  • Develop a network of trusted freelancers, collaborators and specialist partners.
  • Lead creative responses for pitches involving major conferences, festivals and large-scale brand experiences.
  • Partner with Growth and Partnerships to identify and shape opportunities aligned with the agency's large-scale events expertise.
  • Help grow the agency's large-scale events practice by turning successful work into new relationships, category expertise and future opportunities.
  • Develop a strong point of view on the future of live experiences, audience behaviour, culture and technology.
  • Contribute to the agency's wider industry presence through award submissions, talks, juries and published work.
What You'll Bring
  • Around 5-8+ years of experience within creative roles, including at least three years leading interdisciplinary teams and owning complex projects from concept through to onsite execution.
  • Proven experience directing major live experiences, including conferences, festivals, multi-day events or tentpole brand moments for audiences in the thousands.
  • A portfolio demonstrating venue-scale creative thinking across spatial design, stages, programming, activations, content and audience experience.
  • Experience leading complex programmes involving multiple simultaneous workstreams, production partners, creative disciplines and senior client stakeholders.
  • The ability to establish a singular creative vision and maintain it throughout design development, production and final delivery.
  • Strong spatial understanding, including audience circulation, venue planning, programming, sightlines and the relationship between physical environments and guest experience.
  • A solid understanding of large-scale event production, including fabrication, staging, AV, lighting, media systems, creative technology and live show execution.
  • The ability to balance creative ambition with budgets, timelines, technical requirements and operational constraints.
  • Strong multidisciplinary fluency across areas such as strategy, creative, technology, media and content, alongside deep expertise within at least one creative discipline.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to inspire, persuade and build trust with clients, executives and internal teams.
  • A decisive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to make confident creative calls within fast-moving environments.
  • A hands‑on creative mindset, with the ability to contribute directly to concept development, design and prototyping when required.
  • Experience building, mentoring and developing creative teams with empathy and an adaptable leadership style.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive, collaborative and entrepreneurial creative culture.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • Experience using generative AI within creative workflows, including tools such as Claude, Midjourney, Runway and Stable Diffusion.
  • Working familiarity with 3D and motion tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D and After Effects; advanced proficiency is not required.
