This role focuses on hands-on cooking across different cuisines, setting up stations, measuring and preparing ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods per recipes and guidelines.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Properly store food and adhere to safety policies.
