Job summary

Dairy Queen is hiring a cake decorator for our franchise location in the United States. You will assemble and decorate soft serve and Blizzard cakes to meet customer specifications while upholding Dairy Queen quality standards.

Essential tasks include decorating with gels, icing, and edible images, maintaining stock and displays, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Training and portfolio readiness are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Exceptional decorating skills including gel, icing, air brush, decorating kits, edible images, floral designs, and licensed character designs.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and hygiene standards.
• Cake decorator’s certification is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
• Must be able to stand for periods of time.
• Coordination skills to follow instructions and duplicate drawings.
• Must follow local health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and decorate cake products according to customer specifications.
• Properly and safely operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of decorated cakes and stock.
• Keep display freezer filled and attractively displayed.
• Take and fill customer cake orders in a timely manner.
• Work as a team to ensure quality, service, cleanliness and value.
• Clean work area and stock needed items.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Foster a positive working relationship with staff and customers.
