Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets in Pennsylvania is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Department. You will decorate cakes, assist customers, and ensure high standards of presentation and service.

The role requires at least 1 year of bakery experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a commitment to friendly customer service. The position is full-time and on-site at Gerrity's locations in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirement.
• Minimum age 18.
• One year Bakery Apprentice (or related field) experience.
• Must be able to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers at the bakery case in the bakery sales area.
• Maintains creative and artistic decorating procedures for product display and appeal.
• Take cake orders using proper phone and customer etiquette.
• Prioritize and fill special cake orders on time for customer pick-up.
• Maintain freezer and cold cases and proper rotation.
• Clean bakery prep area and decorating tools.
• Cooperate with other departments for store promotions.
• Assist other department positions as assigned by Bakery Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at bakery cases, prep area, floors, coolers and workstation.
