Job summary

HOKALI is seeking a Theatre & Acting Educator to lead engaging after-school theatre programs for TK–8 students in California. You will teach theatre fundamentals, create inclusive learning environments, and foster creativity and teamwork through performance-based activities.

Ideal candidates are passionate about acting and storytelling, with strong communication skills and a commitment to student safety and engagement in a fun education setting.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Ability to complete 3 hours of online training prior to start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR).
• Authorization to work in the US.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach theatre and acting fundamentals to students from TK through 8th grade.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging acting exercises, improvisation games, storytelling activities, and creative performances.
• Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre-based activities.
• Adapt lessons to different ages, experience levels, and learning styles.
• Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
• Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping the learning space clean, safe, and engaging.
