Job summary

George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School is seeking an Admissions Design Specialist for part-time, hourly work. The role focuses on graphic design for JD admissions materials and events, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong eye for visual branding.

Qualifications

• Experience in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce polished, accurate work.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Ability to accurately and efficiently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
• For fully remote work, reliable access to a computer and internet connection capable of supporting the position's design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Produces clean, creative, and engaging graphics that align with Scalia Law School and George Mason University branding guidelines.
• Designs digital and print materials for prospective and admitted students, recruitment initiatives, and admissions events, including flyers, invitations, signage, event materials, T-shirt designs, and other promotional materials.
• Creates graphics and visual assets for admissions email campaigns and other digital communications.
• Creates and updates admissions PowerPoint presentations.
• Collaborates with the Admissions Office to develop creative concepts and execute design projects from initial idea through final product.
• Edits and updates existing admissions graphics, templates, and promotional materials.
• Prepares design materials for digital distribution and print production.
• Organizes and maintains admissions design files, templates, and visual assets.
• Assists with photography, photo selection, and basic photo editing, as needed.
• Manages multiple design projects and accurately and efficiently meet established deadlines; and
• Other duties as assigned.
