Job summary

Dayton Children’s Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness seeks an Activity Therapist to support the Mental Crisis Services unit. The role focuses on leading engaging activities—art, music, games, movement and relaxation techniques—to promote the physical and emotional well-being of day treatment patients.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and one of the listed professional certifications (MT-BC, ATR-BC, ATCP, NBCOT, or ADTA).

Responsibilities

• Utilize activities (art, music, games, video, drama, movement, sports, crafts, dance, relaxation techniques, etc.) to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of day treatment patients.
• Lead group content aligned with program philosophy and evidenced-based practices.
• Collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and model Dayton Children’s values.
