AEI Valuation seeks a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to independently prepare high-quality appraisal reports across diverse property types. You will manage engagements from start to finish, collaborate with clients, and ensure milestones are met with professional standards.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, efficient workflows, and ownership of client experience, while supporting growth of AEI’s valuation platform and internal data resources.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience.
• State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser
• Bachelor’s degree required
• MAI designation preferred, but not required
• Advanced knowledge of valuation theory, financial analysis, and appraisal reporting
• Proficiency in MS Office, comparable databases, and AI-enabled workflows
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills, with a focus on client communication

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare commercial real estate appraisal reports from cover to cover
• Define appropriate scope of work based on client objectives
• Select and apply Cost, Sales Comparison, and Income Capitalization approaches
• Perform market studies, highest and best use, and feasibility analyses
• Research, verify, and analyze sales, listings, rents, operating data, zoning, land use, and ownership information
• Inspect subject and comparable properties and conduct market interviews
• Utilize Argus and third-party databases to support valuation conclusions
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal team members
• Ensure full compliance with USPAP, FIRREA, and client-specific requirements
• Contribute to AEI’s internal comparable database and quality initiatives
• Mentor junior appraisers and analysts as appropriate
