Job summary

The Valley Health System in Las Vegas is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to manage the reprocessing cycle of surgical instruments and ensure safety and readiness for procedures. You will operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, and sterilizers, perform quality monitoring, and assist with inventory.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Twelve months minimum in Sterile Processing preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in English; interpretation of IFU guidance.
• License/ Certification: CRCST certification required and maintained.
• Other: Familiarity with Instrument management software (Censis, OneSource) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation, including disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, testing, assembly, labeling, high level disinfection, and sterilization.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and related equipment.
• Perform quality monitoring and documentation.
• Assist with supply inventory management and case cart preparation for surgery.
• Mentor and train new Sterile Processing Techs; support role modeling and excellence in service.
