Job summary

CraneWorks/RentalWorks is seeking a Crawler Crane Technician to travel to job sites to safely assemble, test, and tear down heavy crawler cranes. This hands-on role requires mechanical skills, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to manage large lattice booms, car bodies, and counterweights.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in heavy construction or machinery maintenance, plus basic tools experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience in heavy construction or machinery maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble crawler crane tracks, car body, counterweights, upper works, and lattice boom sections.
• Rig hoist lines or pendants using hand tools and pins.
• Perform on-site mechanical repairs to hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
• Conduct pre-operational, monthly, and yearly safety inspections of cranes.
• Travel to regional or national job sites as required.
