Penguin Random House is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for Crawfordsville, Indiana. The role involves constructing, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining plant equipment and facilities at the distribution center.

The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:00pm with a 12.5% shift differential; the 3rd shift runs Sunday–Thursday 11:00pm–7:00am with a 15% differential. Prior facility maintenance experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Two+ years relevant maintenance experience required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs desirable.
• Forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus.
• Able to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform maintenance duties in the Crawfordsville distribution center.
• Read schematics and diagnose electrical/mechanical issues.
• Overtime availability is essential.

The Crawfordsville Distribution Center for Penguin Random House iscurrently seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing organization.

In this role, you will perform a combination of duties to construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities. Prior experience working in facility maintenance is essential.

The 2nd shift hours for this opportunity are Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm. This shift also pays an additional 12.5% shift differential.

The 3rd shift hours for this opportunity are Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am. This shift also pays an additional 15% shift differential.

Proven skills relating to electrical construction with the ability to read schematics, mechanical trades, forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus. Prior experience performing duties associated with Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers or other relative PLC's is desirable. Additional experience with other crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.

Candidates musthave two or moreyears relevant experience, possessbasic PC skills and be physically capable of performing heavy lifting. The availabilityof working overtime is essential.
