Job summary

Penguin Random House LLC in Crawfordsville, Indiana has immediate openings for Light Picker/Packers on 1st shift, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, at $16.00 per hour. Full benefits start on day one and include medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401(k).

Responsibilities include picking and packing customer book orders, processing returns, and using RF handheld devices and computers. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25–35 lbs, stand all shift, and work safely in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Requires basic reading and math skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 25–35 lbs regularly and stand for an entire shift.
• Must be able to climb stairs and work on an upper mezzanine level.
• Must follow all safety rules and work well in a team environment.
• Minimum age requirement is 16.

Job Description

We have immediate openings for Light Picker/Packers on 1st shift. Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. $16.00/hr.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Pick and pack customer book orders using a variety of methods
• Process customer book returns in a variety of ways
• Using a computer and/or hand-held radio frequency (RF) equipment

Qualifications

• Requires basic reading and math skills

• Must be able to stand for an entire shift (minimal breaks provided)
• Must be able to climb stairs and be comfortable working on an upper mezzanine level
• Must follow all safety rules and work well in a team-orientated environment
• Must possess the flexibility to work in other areas based on business needs
• Minimum age requirement is 16
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain good overall safety and attendance record
• Work well in a team-orientated environment
