Job summary

Americrane Rentals is seeking a skilled Crane/Truck Mechanic to join our Texas team. The role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractors, trailers, cranes and heavy equipment to ensure uptime in a fast-paced field environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics, and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently. CDL is a plus but not required; basic mechanic tools are expected from the candidate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Liebherr Crane experience is a plus.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Must have own basic mechanic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, cranes and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and execute timely repairs.
• Service diesel engines, including troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, wiring, and control systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Complete accurate service records, inspection reports, and work orders.
• Support field service calls and emergency repairs as needed.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Crane/Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractors, trailers, and other heavy equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation in the field.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot efficiently, and understands the importance of uptime in a fast-paced environment.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and execute timely repairs
