Job summary

Lift Solutions Holdings in Mobile, AL is seeking a Crane Technician to provide quality installation, inspection, maintenance and repair services for hoist and crane equipment. You will work on-site, ensure safety standards, troubleshoot breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance while interfacing with customers professionally.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with cranes and hoists, familiarity with 3-phase motors and VFDs, and the ability to work at height in demanding

Qualifications

• 5+ years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment required.
• Experience with 3 phase motors, VFDs, contactors and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Associates degree in Industrial Electrician/Electromechanical Tech preferred.
• Ability to work at height in extreme conditions.
• Physically demanding; able to lift 50–100 lbs.
• Capable of working independently and with customers.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections and document warranty work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service calls.
• Interface with customers and office to repair equipment as needed.
• Make electrical/mental adjustments or repairs with/without drawings.
• Document actions with forms, reports and inspection checklists.
• Maintain professional presentation and organization on-site.
• Develop knowledge of federal/state/local codes for cranes/hoists.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations
• Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns
• Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency servicebreakdown calls
• Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed
• Perform electrical and or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms reports and inspection checklist
• Maintain professional presentation timeliness appearance and organization in all areas
• Develop a working knowledge of Federal State and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists
• Responsible for company equipment including company vehicles tools etc

Education & Qualifications

• 5 or more years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required
• Experience with 3 phase motors VFDs contactors and circuits
• Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required
• Associates degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician Electro Mechanical Technology preferred
• Ability to work at height in extreme temperature and noisy locations
• This is a physically demanding job involving standing walking sitting and the ability to lift 50 100lbs
• Perform inspections to OSHA criteria
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner
• Communication skills both internally and externally informing both the company and the customer the status of the job
• Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset
• Required to use own hand tools and meter
• Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
