The Manitowoc Company, Inc. is hiring a Shop Crane Technician trainee to be based at the Ankeny, IA branch and report to the Service Manager. This full-time role offers hands-on training under experienced technicians and a clear path for growth.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics, and a valid driver’s license. A $4,500 sign-on bonus and tool reimbursement up to $1,500 per year are available, along with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a general laborer or yard worker within construction or heavy equipment preferred.
• Mechanical background and related experience with electrical and hydraulics.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• May be required to travel to other locations for cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Learn the responsibilities of a Shop Crane Technician under supervision.
• Help shop techs perform inspections and repairs.
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
