Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Leadman to supervise craft workers, provide instruction, and guide crane operations on construction sites. The role acts as a journeyman and assists Foremen while maintaining safety standards and efficient hoisting activities.

Responsibilities include selecting rigging, signaling crane movements, setting up equipment, and ensuring proper maintenance of tools. Experience in rigging and hands-on leadership is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures; follows instructions and guidelines.
• Reports to supervisor; work under supervision with limited independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew and guide crane operator and hoisting engineer ensuring safety.
• Direct hoisting operations with clear signaling and two‑way communication.
• Assemble and disassemble rigging systems; set up braces and rig hoisting equipment.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
• Inspect tools and equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed.
