Job summary

ND Energy Services is seeking experienced Crane Riggers to assist with inspections and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and blocks according to load weight and size. The role involves aligning and anchoring equipment, rigging loads, and ensuring safety during hoisting operations.

Responsibilities include assembling and maintaining rigging gear, operating in all weather, and participating in safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires high physical endurance and ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Requires teamwork and clear communication under time pressure.
• Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
• Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging and hoists.
• Move loads using rigging lines and hoists to move or support materials.
• Select appropriate cables, pulleys, and winches for loads.
• Direct workers to hoist and move loads safely.

Job description

ND Energy Services is seeking experienced Crane Riggers. A Crane Rigger assists with inspections and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and blocks according to weight and size of the load to be moved.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Align, level, and anchor machine
• Attach loads to rigging support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
• Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, booms, using bolts and clamps
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
• Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear
• Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials, such as heavy equipment
• Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches according to load weights and sizes
• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Attends and participates in safety meetings
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability
• Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under and/or around obstacles
• Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required
• Reports any and all incidents immediately
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Performs other duties as directed by management
