Job summary

ND Energy Services is seeking experienced Crane Riggers. A Crane Rigger assists with inspections and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and blocks according to weight and size of the load to be moved.

This full-time position operates in outside environments under all weather conditions. The job requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks, and holds a valid driver’s license or CDL if available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous Crane Rigger experience preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
• Must be able to arrange reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Align, level, and anchor equipment for safe lifting.
• Attach loads to rigging using hand and power tools.
• Attach pulleys and blocks to overhead structures with bolts/clamps.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
• Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging and pulling gear.
• Move or support materials using rigging lines and hoists.
• Select cables, pulleys, and winches according to load.

Job description

ND Energy Services is seeking experienced Crane Riggers. A Crane Rigger assists with inspections and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and blocks according to weight and size of the load to be moved.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Align, level, and anchor machine
• Attach loads to rigging support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
• Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, booms, using bolts and clamps
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
• Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear
• Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials, such as heavy equipment
• Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches according to load weights and sizes
• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Attends and participates in safety meetings
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability
• Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under and/or around obstacles
• Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required
• Reports any and all incidents immediately
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Performs other duties as directed by management

This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work as job duties demand.
