Job summary

NAPCO Precast SA in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Crane Operator to operate a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. You will depress controls, monitor safety, and ensure loads are securely attached before lifting.

Responsibilities include inspecting cranes daily, following instructions, completing tickets and paperwork, and adhering to strict safety standards on construction sites and industrial facilities. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a crane in a construction or industrial setting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and signals.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane under general supervision.
• Manipulate controls to regulate speed and direction per instructions.
• Inspect crane daily for safety issues.
• Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Complete job tickets and paperwork.
• Lift and position machinery or equipment at sites.
• Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting.
• Move levers to raise/lower crane boom and load-line.
• Bolt boom sections to extend/modifiy boom for high lifting.
• Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Operate crane according to helper signals.
• Start and stop crane engine.
