Job description

Join to apply for the Crane Operator (Plant Division) role at State Utility Contractors, Inc.

State Utility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced crane operator to join our team. The ideal candidate must be NCCCO certified and capable of operating 65-ton rough terrain telescoping hydraulic cranes and 80-150 ton crawler-type lattice boom cranes.

Position Details

Location: North and South Carolina

Responsibilities
  • Inspect the work site prior to crane setup daily
  • Safely hoist and transport materials such as machinery, equipment, and concrete
  • Monitor safety concerns, defects, or machinery malfunctions; perform daily and monthly inspections
  • Operate the crane using hand signals effectively
Requirements
  • Experience operating cranes in the 65-150 ton capacity range
  • Ability to handle 3 cubic yard concrete buckets to workers on walls and elevated slabs
  • Good physical condition, eyesight, dexterity, and balance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Interest in machinery operation and maintenance; willingness to work in challenging environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent; crane operating experience; on-the-job training available for advancement
