Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking certified Crane Operators with experience operating Hydraulic Lattice Boom Crawlers and Rubber Tire Rough Terrain Pickers. The role requires day and night shifts and experience with highway, road, and bridge projects in the United States.

Applicants should have NCCCO/NCCER certification, strong crane inspection skills, and a commitment to safety. This position offers opportunities for growth and relocation may be required for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience lifting and placing concrete by bucket, prefabricated bridge beams, precast bridge deck panels, rebar, concrete pipe, and metal forming components.
• NCCCO or NCCER certification required.
• Ability to inspect cranes and recommend actions to maintain safe operation.
• OSHA crane operation requirements knowledge including daily inspection logs.
• Effective communication and coordination with ground personnel.
• Dependable, self-motivated and safety-focused.
• Physical ability to perform crane tasks including prolonged sitting, walking, standing, bending.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds or more.
• Must pass drug screen and crane operator physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and compare load weights with lifting capacity and load charts to ensure safe operation.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain crane mechanisms and components, including pulleys and cables.
• Follow all required safety rules, policies, and guidelines.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment and report needed repairs.
• Work with various crews on job sites and communicate safely using hand signals.
• Perform general labor duties as needed.
• Perform tasks that may require long periods of sitting, walking, and standing.
• Work rotating day and night shifts as required by project needs.

What We're Looking For

• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate safely with ground personnel.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented with a strong commitment to safety.
• Physical ability to perform assigned crane-related tasks, including prolonged sitting, walking, standing, and bending.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more as needed.
• Must pass a drug screen and meet the requirements of the ZCC crane operator physical.
