Steel Technologies LLC in Decatur, AL is seeking a Crane Operator for 1st and 2nd shift to operate an overhead crane, move materials, and ensure safety and quality per customer standards.

You will perform inspections, locate and transfer materials, load/unload trucks, and support production areas while adhering to safety protocols. Competitive benefits follow 60 days, with a 401(k) match, PTO after 90 days, and paid holidays from day one.

Qualifications

• Operate overhead crane and conduct daily inspections
• Know and follow crane operation protocol
• Able to measure materials with tape measure and micrometer
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally

Responsibilities

• Perform daily crane inspection and documentation
• Operate overhead crane to move materials and load/unload trucks
• Locate material based on production information
• Transfer material to machine storage or to equipment as needed
• Move material from machines to packaging and scales
• Communicate safety concerns and quality problems to supervisor or shift lead
