Job summary

Infra-Metals Co. is seeking a warehouse material handler to load/unload inventory using overhead crane and related equipment in a fast-paced environment in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities include reporting inventory changes, assembling orders, documenting inventory movement, and adhering to safety policies.

This hands-on role requires physical stamina and attention to detail. Experience in industrial settings and 2-3 years of materials handling are preferred, with readiness to perform manual tasks

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years industrial materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Document and report inventory location changes according to specified procedures.
• Assemble customer orders according to work orders and procedures.
• Document, tag & paint inventory received according to specified procedures.
• Record pertinent material information on to work orders or other forms as specified by local procedure.
• Special projects as specified by management.
• Performance of other Warehouse or Processing / Maintenance Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work.
• Adhere to all company safety policies & procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition; report and communicate any defects, concerns or maintenance needs.
• Recognize and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions in the work area to supervision.
• Maintain professional communication with other operators, supervisors, & departments as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
