Job summary

SkyPoint is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our Washington team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will operate tower, mobile and overhead cranes, perform pre-operational checks, and ensure safety on construction sites.

Salary is $1400 per month with accommodation provided. We offer visa sponsorship for eligible candidates and a one-time travel ticket for those joining from outside Washington. This urgent role must be filled within 2 weeks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of crane operator experience in construction.
• Valid crane operator certification/license.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities.
• Strong communication with ground crew.
• Physical strength and stamina for extended periods.
• Safety-conscious mindset to ensure well-being on site.

Job description

We are currently hiring a skilled Crane Operator to join our team in Washington on a contract basis. As a Crane Operator you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of cranes to lift and move heavy materials on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate different types of cranes including tower, mobile and overhead cranes
• Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality
• Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to determine the appropriate lifting methods for materials
• Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or radio equipment
• Rig loads using cables, hooks, clamps or other equipment
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations as necessary to ensure safety
• Keep track of materials lifted and moved in logbooks or other records
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies at all times

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a crane operator in a construction setting
• Valid crane operator certification/license from an accredited institution
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions accurately
• Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with ground crew members
• Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
• Safety-conscious mindset to ensure the well-being of self and others on the job site

Salary

This is a contract position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.
