Clark Construction is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to support Federal projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will operate 130 Ton RT cranes, inspect gear, and coordinate lifts with riggers and site leadership.

The role requires at least 3 years of crane experience, understanding of lift plans and load charts, and a strong commitment to safety. A local union, background check, and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to join the local union.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Read and speak English efficiently.
  • Experience with Telescopic/Swing, Lattice, and Articulating cranes.
  • Minimum 3 years of crane operation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging practices, load charts and safe lifting procedures.
  • Ability to read lift plans, equipment manuals, and site drawings.
  • Proven track record of safety culture and teamwork.
  • Drug-free workplace with pre-employment fitness-for-duty screening.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 130 Ton RT hydraulic crane safely and efficiently per lift plans and Clark standards.
  • Conduct daily crane and lifting gear inspections; report issues promptly.
  • Rig, lift, and position materials under supervision.
  • Collaborate with riggers, signal persons, and field leadership for safe lifting.
  • Maintain inspection checklists, lift documentation, and operator records.
  • Support general site operations when crane work isn’t required.
  • Uphold Clark Construction and OSHA safety standards on Federal job sites.

Job description

  • Operate 130 Ton RT hydraulic crane safely and efficiently in accordance with lift plans, site conditions, and Clark Construction safety standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of cranes and lifting gear; promptly report any mechanical or safety issues.
  • Rig, lift, and position materials, equipment, and structural components under the direction of site supervision.
  • Collaborate closely with riggers, signal persons, and field leadership to ensure all lifting activities are performed safely and effectively.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate inspection checklists, lift documentation, and operator records.
  • Support general site operations and equipment-related tasks when crane operations are not required.
  • Uphold all Clark Construction, OSHA safety standards and procedures on Federal job sites.
