Job summary

Harvard Integrations in Tea, SD, is seeking a skilled crane operator to perform all crane movements within the facility, including loading completed buildings on trailers and coordinating with production staff for scheduling. The role requires maintaining a crane operator certification and strict adherence to safety protocols.

You will conduct rigging inspections, analyze loads for capacity, and serve as the go-to person for site rigging questions while keeping the work area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating bridge cranes and advanced rigging.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Requires good judgment and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a crane operator certification.
• Coordinate with production staff to schedule and execute crane operations in alignment with production needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the crane to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigging and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use.
• Analyze loads to ensure crane capacities and rigging are acceptable and safe for each operation.
• Serve as the go-to person for all site rigging and loading questions.
• Identify and resolve any issues related to crane operations promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow established safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Salary Description

$21-$32/hour
