Job summary

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a skilled Rough Terrain Crane Operator to safely operate a 15-Ton Tadano RT-150XL-4 on major construction projects in Kentucky. You will perform pre-op checks, assist riggers, and support site tasks to keep the project moving while maintaining a strong safety record.

The successful candidate will hold NCCCO certification for Rough Terrain/ Hydraulic cranes, have experience with RT cranes (Tadano preferred), and be willing to work long hours with reliable

Qualifications

  • Valid NCCCO certification for Rough Terrain / Hydraulic cranes.
  • Proven RT crane operating experience; Tadano equipment a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of load charts, rigging, hand signals, and safety regs.
  • Willingness to help with general site tasks when crane idle.
  • Reliable transportation; able to work full project hours.
  • Able to pass background checks, drug screenings, and physicals.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 15-Ton Tadano TR-150XL-4 Rough Terrain Crane safely.
  • Perform daily pre-operational inspections and monitor fluids.
  • Work with riggers and signal personnel for precise lifts.
  • Assist with general site tasks and tool maintenance as needed.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards, site safety protocols, and policies.

We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused Rough Terrain Crane Operator to operate a 15-Ton Tadano TR-150XL-4 for major ongoing construction projects. The ideal candidate is a dependable operator who takes pride in precision work and maintains a strong safety record. While the crane is expected to be steadily busy, we value a strong work ethic and team-first mindset: when the crane is idle, you should be proactive and ready to assist the team with other site duties to keep the project moving forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a 15-Ton Tadano TR-150XL-4 Rough Terrain Crane in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety guidelines.
  • Inspections & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-operational checks, inspect rigging, monitor fluid levels, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Rigging & Lift Execution: Work closely with riggers and signal personnel to ensure precise, secure load handling and positioning.
  • Team Assistance: Actively assist with general site tasks, tool maintenance, and ground support during operational downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, site-specific safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid NCCCO (or equivalent industry/state) Crane Operator Certification for Rough Terrain / Hydraulic Cranes.
  • Proven experience operating RT cranes (experience with Tadano equipment is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of load charts, rigging procedures, hand signals, and safety regulations.
  • Willingness to pitch in with general job site tasks when crane operation is paused.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work full project hours.
  • Ability to pass required background checks, drug screenings, and physical evaluations.
Compensation & Project Details

We offer competitive prevailing wage rates based on project location: Kentucky Prevailing Wage (Primary Work Location): Base Pay: $41.55 / hour Fringes: $9.50 / hour Ohio Prevailing Wage (When Applicable): Base Pay: $44.14 / hour Fringes: $16.41 / hour Project Duration: Long-term assignment scheduled through December 2027.
