C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc is seeking an experienced Crane Operator with a strong safety record for heavy civil/bridge construction projects in Georgia. The role involves operating mobile and fixed cranes, coordinating with riggers, and maintaining lift logs in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of crane experience, NCCCO certifications (LBC, Telescopic Boom, Swing Cab), and a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality. CDL Class A/B is a plus.

• 3+ years of crane operating experience in bridge construction.
• NCCCO certification in LBC, Telescopic Boom, and Swing Cab cranes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive pile and set beams.

• Willing to learn and receptive to coaching.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and fixed cranes to lift, move, and position bridge components such as beams, girders, and precast elements.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of crane equipment.
• Work closely with riggers and signal persons to ensure safe and precise lifting operations.
• Set up and dismantle crane equipment in accordance with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate lift logs and equipment usage records.
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols.
• Assist with other site duties to support bridge construction operations.

What You'll Do

• Reliable, dependable, and willing to be part of a team.
• Eager to learn and receptive to coaching.

Preferred

• CDL Class A or B.
• NCCCO Telescopic Boom Crane — Fixed Cab (TSS) certification.
