Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Crane Operator to join a nationwide team delivering heavy lifting and rigging services. This role offers local work with opportunities to gain experience across equipment, from boom trucks to 600-ton cranes.

You will perform daily lifting operations, support crane assembly and rigging, and contribute to projects across plants, wind farms, and heavy haul operations. A strong safety mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A and NCCCO certifications required.
• Strong commitment to safety and clear on-site communication.
• Preferred: experience operating AT, hydraulic, or boom truck cranes.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field work.
• Ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes ranging from boom trucks to 600-ton equipment.
• Perform daily lifting operations, primarily running cranes.
• Support crane assembly, rigging, and heavy haul projects.
• Work across plants, wind farms, and local taxi jobs.
• Assist with transport operations including trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment.
• Help ensure safe lifting through load control and communication with rigging crews.

What You Bring
