Job summary

RMS Cranes, LLC is seeking an Oiler Apprentice to support crane operators across multiple locations. The role involves assisting with crane setup, rigging, and safety procedures while traveling to job sites.

You will maintain equipment, perform inspections, and help ensure timely completion of tasks with strict adherence to safety policies. The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid state driver’s license, and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current state issued Driver's License.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the crane operator in the proper set-up of the equipment.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the crane and accessory equipment.
  • Performs proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of loads.
  • Uses proper hand signals during crane operations.
  • Secures equipment to trailers before operating trucks.
  • Inspects truck and trailer; completes inspection reports.
  • Monitors and reports missing equipment; maintains chains, boomer, and straps.
  • Documents maintenance and repairs of equipment to supervisors.
  • Cleans the vehicle daily and ensures readiness for next tasks.
  • Completes payroll timesheet and reports hours by Sunday night.
